Professional Statement: I received my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Maryland in 1973 and then served as a psychologist and Chief of Psychology Service with the Department of Veterans Affairs. At this time, I am a Professor and Training Director of the Counseling Psychology Doctoral Program at Western Michigan University. My research and teaching interests are in the areas of counseling psychology, personality assessment, training and supervision, professional ethics, and multicultural issues in professional practice.


Practice Description: Currently I am serving full-time as a Professor and Training Director of the Counseling Psychology Doctoral Program at Western Michigan University. My teaching responsibilities include teaching the counseling psychology professional seminar for doctoral students, teaching personality assessment and clinical supervision.

Office Hours: Student office hours are by appointment on Mondays from 1:30 pm - 5:30pm and Thursdays from 3:30 pm - 5:30pm. Student walk-in hours are Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm.

Other Information: Students and applicants interested in information about the doctoral program in counseling psychology at Western Michigan University may schedule an appointment during my office hours. All office hour appointments should be scheduled by calling or going to the main office (Rm 3102 Sangren Hall, 269 387-5100). The main office keeps my appointment schedule, so please call the main office to schedule an appointment. Appointments may be over the phone, but please be sure to ask the office to indicate that the appointment is a phone appointment.
